Summer Picnic in the Park – Tuesday, August 19
Dear Members,
Summer is upon us and it’s time for our BATR annual picnic. We are planning a great get-together with lots of camaraderie and hopefully better weather this year! Here’s what’s planned;
Our August 19 meeting that is normally held at Idaho Pizza is the day we have reserved for our picnic. The picnic will be at Tully Park located at 2500 N. Linder Road, Meridian, ID. 83642. There are two shelters at this address. We will be in the larger of the two. There is plenty of parking there as well.
We have reserved the large shelter for 5 hours. We will start the setup around 4:00 PM and will need to be cleaned up and out of the park by 9:00 PM. Alcohol is permitted, so if you wish to imbibe, feel free to bring your favorite drink--NO GLASS ALLOWED BOTTLES/CONTAINERS.
Snake River Yamaha will be supplying their BBQ for this event. Next time you visit them, be sure to thank them for their generosity. Also Kenworth Sales will be supplying the burgers and hot dogs for this event. Please thank them as well. These are some great companies!
Our club will be providing condiments (ketchup, mustard, buns, etc.), bottled water will also be provided. We will need you to bring your own plate, bowl, utensils, and side dish to share with others!
So, the date is less than two months away, so now it the perfect time to reserve this date on your calendar and also to plan what you will be bringing to share with others!
We would like to have everyone there and fed before we have a very informal monthly meeting hosted by our leader: Steve Huffman.
