The 2013 Idaho State ATV Association (ISATVA) Annual Meeting was held August 16-18, 1013 in Challis, Idaho.  On Friday morning, rider education was provided to youth riders.  Also, two separate ATV rides headed out in to the wilderness.

ISATVA Annual MeetingThe board met in the late afternoon and conducted the official business for the year.  Friday evening about 50 people met for a membership potluck that featured $2,500 in raffle prizes from our sponsors.  We generated enough money to provide a $250 donation to the Friends of the Land of the Yankee Fork to support the ATV Park.

Saturday was the signature ride to the historic Bayhorse Mining District.  That ride featured about 40 machines.  Many other members went on an alternate ride.  After the ride, Dave Claycomb, the Recreation Bureau Chief with IDPR, addressed the membership.  He updated us on IDPR activities and took questions from our members.

Sunday featured great rides in the high country and the historic mining districts of Bonanza and Custer.  We were blessed by weather changes that took all the wildfire smoke out of the area, so it was a great weekend of riding and scenic views.  Thanks to all the members that came out, and to our sponsors.  Planning is now underway for next year’s event.  If you have suggestions, let us know.  We are considering the Island Park area.
