Loading the hay.

Thanks to a Meridian farmer, Casey Masmeyer, who donated several tons of hay to the ranchers affected by the Owyhee Soda Fire.  Casey is the farmer who was referenced in our story: Soda Fire rancher helped by BATRC.

About one-half ton of oat hay was picked up today, Friday, August 28 and remainder this afternoon and next week.  Bill Jones, our BATRC Media Rep, was instrumental in arranging for the hay transportation.

Casey Masmeyer, Meridian farmer, and Bill Jones, BATRC Media Rep.

Recently, Bill received some additional contributions from our Boise ATV Trail Riders Club members.  He will be purchasing and delivering additional hay pellets to another rancher who is in need.

Bill said, “Members of our ATV Club enjoy riding in the Owyhees and want to help where we can.  It is good to see others who feel the same way.  Thanks to Casey for his donation.”
