NOTES: This unload area is right off Hwy 55 and there isn’t much room to park more than about 3 or so trucks. Additionally, only 50″ machines can go around the gate that immediately starts the ride. You can do the ride starting from the Tie Creek area near Crouch, but it will be 30 to 40 more miles of riding if you start from there. Whichever way you go the view from Packer John mountain into High Valley is beautiful. You can go to Smith’s Ferry on this ride and grab some food or ice cream. Makes a nice day of it. If you start from this section there is a lot of logging going on on that first section getting to the top so you’ll likely want to do this on a Sunday just to make sure you don’t run into them.
