Another successful Sportsman Show!

The 2013 Idaho Sportsman’s Show is in the books foranother year, and the consensus is that it was a success.  Our clubs picked up new members and wedistributed a lot of educational material as well as answered a lot ofquestions.  As usual, we had a ton ofpeople looking for maps; hopefully the material we had prepared pointed them inthe right direction to find what they needed. The show’s attendance was good, traffic past the booth was heavy at timesand our volunteers were kept busy by people stopping in looking for info andasking questions.  We want to thank allof the volunteers from all of the clubs who helped set up, staff, and tear downthe booth over the course of the four days. We couldn’t do this without the people who helped and we appreciate all ofyou.–Submitted by Carl Bloomquist

Ride Journals

SAT March 9 ~ Swan Falls Ride: About 50 riders wanted to ride in the wind and dust! I took the slow group, Jim Maxey lead the fast riders, if you call 13 mph fast. I don’t ever recal the wind blowing the dust faster than you could ride? The slow group consisted of a 10 year old on a 90cc Quad, the oldest was George Silkworth 89 (photo below) who was in the dust so thick he blew right on past me when I first stopped to see how things were going. The ride was very successful. We all go back to the parking area by 2:30 p.m. Thanks to all the riders who came from Mtn Home, Kuna, and Boise for a fun ride. — Bill Jones, Ride Leader
