Recreationists,

We are once again on the cusp of the spring riding season and are looking for a few good riders to fill empty spots in our Trail Ranger ranks. If you know someone who would be interested or your are interested, you have a couple of weeks to contact me and/or send in an application. Attached is the link to the IDPR website. When you get to the link you will need to scroll down to the bottom of the page to find the downloadable application. http://parksandrecreation.idaho.gov/aboutus/jobs_volunteering.aspx

Speaking of riding. Blacks Creek is slated to open on April 10th unless the USFS decides to push the date out a little to compensate for all of the rain we have been receiving. I will let you know if I find it is going to open at a later date.

For those of you interested the Boise Ridge Riders are having their annual Idaho City Qualifier June 2 and 3. The first chance to sign up is this coming Sunday April 1. Yes that is April fool’s day but this is not a joke.

The last of the news is we are trying to get the trail cat back out to the Little Gem Cycle Park to do a little maintenance, but the weather is not cooperating. As soon as we get a couple of nice days during the week we will be out there maintaining the park trails. We will need volunteer help during the next couple of weeks to make this happen. If you are interested in volunteering please contact me.

Enjoy your spring riding,

Todd Wernex
