Being a responsible club, we have adopted several trails around the area to help the Forest Service (FS), the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and the Idaho Department of Parks & Recreation (IDPR) to keep open.
Keeping trails open is important work that needs to be done. We need concerned and passionate members to help. Depending on the weather, our Club is responsible for maintaining, Miller Mountain/Kirkham Trail System in Lowman, Idaho by clearing brush, cutting trees out of the trail, building bridges, helping to reroute trails, signage, etc. We also assist the other local clubs in maintaining their adopted trails, such as Sage Hen Trail System, Danskin Trail System, etc. We (local ATV/UTV clubs), usually work on the trails between April and June, and some in the fall.
We are “Working together to keep the roads and trails open for all.”
July 2023 Murphy Idaho Cattle guard project
On July 20th the club and some members volunteering their time partnered with the Idaho Department of parks and recreation to install some ride over cattle guards in Owhyee County. The feedback from one of the ranchers was very positive. The plan later in the year is to go back and install more as the other ranchers see the positive benefits of the ride over guards.
